mariadb: small miscellaneous enhancements

- correct spelling in comments ("mariadb" to "MariaDB")
- remove mysqld_safe and mysqld_safe_helper (not used)
- add some extra cmake configuration defines
- remove cmake configuration defines that don't exist in the source
- don't disable address sanitizer (ASAN) support
